Sky Go Macbook Pro

Hi

Re: Sky Go App on MacBook Pro ‎28 Apr 2020 03:55 PM Thanks for this tip, after months of trying lots of different ways to get my skygo app to work this was the only thing that has worked. I have used Sky Go on my Macbook Pro (early 2013 model) several times in the past, even as recently as a month or two ago. There's been no change to my Macbook in terms of system updates etc. And the app now ceases to function. To clarify, on trying to use the Sky Go app on the Macbook, the app opens but then a warning box with 'Something is. Sky Go does not allow video output over mobile devices, and casting options are limited. Bear in mind, Sky Go is not yet compatible with Chromecast. To use Chromecast to watch Sky Go on a smart TV, the screen mirroring hack is the best workaround method to do this, ensuring you enjoy your favourite content on your big screen.

Sky go mac problems

Stream and download great TV, films and live sport with the all-new Sky Go app. A brand-new design makes it quicker for Sky TV customers to find and enjoy the very best TV, plus enjoy recommendations just for you and easy switching between compatible devices. I’m guessing they may have a dedicated Sky Q Windows 10 App on the horizon for when they bring out their Smart TV Sky Q Apps. I highly doubt Sky will produce any Windows 10 specific apps. The limitations imposed by the Windows App store make it impossible for them to distribute the Go app via that and I'd expect any Q app (if they decide to.

I use Sky Go on my old mac mini (Late 2009) to watch F1

Up to the end of last season it was 'ok' odd dropped frame now and again but not too bad

I've just come to do the same again this year and it looks like they have updated things and it is now terrible/unwatchable with glitches every few seconds and the sound is about 0.5secs out of step with the picture the whole time

They say the min spec is a 1.8 Core Duo and mini is 2.26 with 3gb ram connected to a LG HD TV via HDMI

Is any one using Sky Go on this sort of setup or even a much newer mac mini connected to a hd tv ? does it perform this badly for you ? or is it fine ?

Looking for any experiences good or bad to try and find out if it is just me ?

Thanks
